You print the part locally. We check it is safe and made to spec, then issue a signed certificate for it. Nothing is shipped — you are paying for the certification.

One certification

= the quality check and the signed certificate for one printed part: we confirm it matches the approved design, passes inspection, and is traceable to the printer and material used.

Where will the part be printed?

This one question decides your price. Certifying at a print shop we have already approved is the cheapest, simplest route. Certifying on a printer we have not approved costs a little more, because we verify every part individually.

Why a flat fee on small orders? Each part is verified individually on an un-approved printer, so tiny orders carry setup cost. The per-part price falls as the order grows — and drops to $5 once the printer is approved.

What exactly is a “certification”?–
It is the quality check plus the signed certificate for one printed part. We confirm the part matches the approved design, passes inspection, and is traceable to the exact printer and material batch used to make it.
Do I subscribe, or pay per part?+
Either. Pay as you go if you certify occasionally. Choose a monthly plan if you certify regularly — it bundles certifications at a lower price per part, and anything over your monthly amount is just $5 each.
What is an “approved partner site,” and how do I become one?+
It is a print shop we have inspected and accredited, so its output can be certified at the $5 standard rate. Any manufacturer can apply: a one-time remote accreditation is $500, kept active for $200 / year.
Why does certifying my own print cost more than $5?+
Because the printer has not been pre-approved, so we verify each part individually (using a calibration coupon and per-part checks) rather than relying on an approved, repeatable setup. Small orders carry a flat fee to cover that work; the per-part price drops as the order grows — and falls to $5 once the printer is approved.
What happens if I use all my plan’s monthly certifications?+
Nothing stops — additional standard certifications simply bill at $5 each for the rest of the month.
Do you manufacture or ship the parts?+
No. Parts are printed locally by you or an approved partner. Verifab certifies them — we never make or ship the physical part, which is what keeps it fast and low-cost.
Is a certificate a regulatory approval?+
A certificate documents that a specific part conforms to its validated design and passed the recorded checks. It is not, by itself, a device regulatory clearance unless explicitly stated for a given programme. For partners who need that wrapper, we can act as manufacturer of record.
